Please come into the Centre to register, or phone 416-392-0511, ext. 0 to register by phone. All Community Programs require a minimum number of participants who are registered and paid in full (not drop-ins) in order to run. Courses that do not meet the required minimum number of registered/paid participants will be cancelled.

Please note:

  • Drop-ins are allowed only for Pilates, Yoga and Zumba classes, at a cost of $13.00 per class and subject to space availability.
  • Pro-Rating of Program Fees: Upon written request, and at the discretion of the Program Manager, program fees will be pro-rated, only in cases where participants register and pay for a program after the start date of that program. Fees will not be pro-rated for classes missed during the session.
  • Credit card charges: The Centre will only accept Visa and MasterCard in payment for fees of $10.00 or more.
  • There are no refunds for withdrawals from Community Programs.

FALL PROGRAMS

YOGA – Restorative

Monday Evening
Instructor: Dale

Continue your Yoga practice with these Monday evening Restorative classes. Yoga increases flexibility, tones your muscles and improves circulation, enhancing both your physical and mental well-being. This restorative Yoga class is an excellent way to energize for the rest of your week! Mats, blocks, bolsters and yoga straps are provided in class at no charge. Drop-ins are welcome; classes are $13.00 each.

Date: Mondays, September 18 – November 27 (10 classes, no class October 9, Thanksgiving)
Time: 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. (1 hour)

Tuesday Lunch-Time

In this class you will work through a series of postures that strengthen your body and calm your mind. Learn to connect your body with your breath, let go of stress, and breathe deeper. Expect a slow flow where one pose leads to the next – you should leave feeling strong and balanced.

Dates:  Tuesdays, Sept. 12 – Dec. 19 (15 classes)
Time:   12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.  (1 hour)

LATIN LINE DANCE FITNESS – NEW!

You can Cha-Cha; you can Samba, you can Salsa and Rumba, you can even Tango, Waltz, and Belly Dance. This Latin/Ballroom-style Line Dance class is right for YOU! If you are looking for a low-impact activity, enjoy exotic music and learning new dancing steps, making new friends, and getting fit, this is the right place for you! This class will improve your fitness level, helping you reduce stress, release “happy” hormones, and improve memory. Come dance with me and have fun, fun, fun!
Date: Thursdays, Sept. 21 – Nov. 23 (10 classes)

Yoga Fitness and Latin Line Dance Fitness are instructed by Cathy Liang, an experienced dance instructor, choreographer and a certified 200-hours Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga TeacherShe is an experienced teacher who works with people in private and group sessions. She has been teaching Latin Line Dance in many community centres around the city. Her specialty is designing classes to meet the levels and needs for individuals and groups.
